Welcome to the website of NHS Hartlepool. It’s the job of NHS Hartlepool, as commissioners of health services, to ensure you and your family get the best care and treatment when you need it.
There is lots of information on this website about what we do and the decisions we make about local NHS services. These are your health services and we’d like you to help us continually make them better. If you’d like to be kept up to date about the work that we do, sign up to MY NHS.
We hope that you find our new website and the information it contains useful. If there is anything that you would like to see adding to the site as we continue to develop it, please get in touch.
As part of Momentum: Pathways to Healthcare, changes to urgent and emergency care services in Hartlepool took place on Tuesday 2 August. Minor injuries, out of hours services and the walk-in centre are now all based at One Life Hartlepool, forming one Urgent Care Centre for the town.
Patients needing emergency medical care who dial 999 themselves will be assessed by the ambulance service and will be taken to the appropriate place which, in most cases, will be the emergency assessment unit at the University Hospital of Hartlepool.
